Life is like a poker tournament. You would never have good cards in every single hand. So the philosophy is around how to deal with bad times so to minimize your loss; while maximizing your profit when good times come.

If the red line represents anybody’s lifetime and suppose this guy lived to 100 years old (rightmost of the line). It is indeed a pretty fruitful life. He was outstanding among his peers at 25 years old. Although the downturn at around 40 and 75 years old, he managed to quickly get up, learn his lesson, and shine again.

3 Ways To Optimize Your Memory

Everybody is capable to memorize. And, it is essential. Many say in the world of logics you don’t have to remember; I say, you still have to memorize E=mcbefore applying. Forget The Goal & Be Happy

happy1Recently I have come across two interesting articles: Yes, You Can Be Happy While Pushing Yourself to Success, and Forget Setting Goals. Focus on This Instead. Your poker game actually starts from picking a table to play (the market you decide to compete), your playing style should be calibrated according to the bet position you are, and you must be able to gain information and read “tells” from your opponents to determine if they are bluffing. You also need to decide how much to bet so to optimize your profit from the pot.

History of Liverpool FC

Liverpool FC (a.k.a. LFC or the Reds) has won 18 League Champions, 5 European Cups, 7 FA Cups, 7 League Cups, and 3 UEFA Cups[i]. They are no doubt one of the most successful football clubs in the football history. However, they have never won the Premier League champion again since 1993. Will glory embrace the Reds again?

A march was dropped into the crack between wooden steps (yes, escalator steps were made by wood at that time), by a passer-by smoker. It was soon reported by a passenger that he saw lights from the crack. A few wooden steps were on fire when Firemen arrived. It was concluded to be a small scale of fire.

The severity was underestimated.
